Liepaja Beach is a Blue Flag beach, recognised as meeting 29 international standards, including water quality, safety, environmental information and education, services and management.
Liepaja Beach has been well known since the 19th century. In 2001 it became a Blue Flag beach, recognised as meeting 29 international standards, including water quality, safety, environmental information and education, services and management. The beach is 50 - 80 metres wide during calm weather, and 8 kilometres long.
