The purpose of the exhibition is to introduce the visitors with the mutual points of contact between the history of the Duchy of Courland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the traces left in the cultural and historical environment of both countries.
The informative core of the exhibition was created in the Šiauliai Museum "Aušra", but most of the original exhibits come from the depths of the National History Museum of Latvia (NHML) storages. The exhibition will also feature some interesting items from various Lithuanian memory institutions, such as a portrait of Duke Gotthard's eldest daughter Anna, who was married to Lithuanian court marshal Albrecht Radziwiłł.
