Bus traffic improved between Riga airport and the city centre

From August 16, the timetable of the bus No. 22 has been changed. During peak hours, the wait between two buses will not exceed 10 minutes. These changes mainly concern afternoons, when passenger numbers are at their highest.

Moreover, from now on drivers of bus No. 22 will be able to speak not only Latvian and Russian, but also English.

However, this is not the only new development on the bus route between the airport and the city which makes it more friendly and convenient for passengers. Charges for luggage were recently cancelled on bus No. 22.

“Our goal is to provide the most convenient transfer from/to the airport both for city residents and our guests. As the number of visitors to the city is growing, we must ensure transport from the airport to the city without any problems,” stressed Nils Ušakovs, the mayor of Riga.

The bus timetable can be found at bus stops, at the “Rīgas Satiksme” website www.rigassatiksme.lv (in Latvian, English and Russian) or by calling 80001919 free of charge.
