A new production-ballet of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is on the repertory of the Latvian National Opera. The mythical love story is choreographed by Youri Vàmos. Music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Cast - Latvian leading ballet artists, among them Raimonds Martinovs and Margarita Demjanoka. This will be one of Latvian National Opera's most spendid productions this season.

Shakespeare's allegorical love story "A Midsummer Night's Dream" remains popular and topical through the centuries. The story portrays events which take place in a forest inhabited by fairies. Four young lovers try to solve problems in their relationships. Their adventures begin when Oberon, King of the Fairies, and his Queen, Titania start manipulating with them. And the local folk have nothing to do but to follow everything the fairies do to the heroes of the story. The conductor is Mārtiņš Ozoliņš.
