The first performance of the second version of Andris Vecumnieks' piece Concertino Art-i-Shock. Along with this opus, the concert programme will include the first performance in Latvia of Rihards Dubra's Divertissement No. 4, and the Zeppelin Symphony composed in 2008 by contemporary Austrian composer Thomas Doss. The Zeppelin Symphony in four parts reveals the history of the airship created more than 100 years ago, starting from the idea of its inventor Ferdinand von Zeppelin up to the flight itself.

The graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London and the winner of several internationally renowned competitions, Ksenija Sidorova, is known as the "princess of the accordion" and a keen promoter of her instrument. Her repertoire includes new pieces created in collaboration with such composers as Karl Jenkins, Hans Abrahams, Stefano Gervasoni, Nirmali Fenn, Patrick Nunn, Samantha Fernando and many others, as well as compositions inspired by jazz and folk music, thus offering the audience a truly wide stylistic amplitude.

Daniil Bulayev at the Latvian National Opera

Daniil Bulayev is a young, talented violinist whose first concert together with a chamber orchestra took place in Latvia when he was only five years old. Daniil Bulayev is the winner of several international competitions, has taken part in multiple music festivals. He is currently a student of the Emīls Dārziņš Music School under teacher Nellija Sarkisjana, and will give his first solo concert in the Latvian National Opera where he will be performing together with Lilī Sarkisjana. The concert will take place on the opera’s main stage with the safety curtain closed which will create a unique acoustic for the chamber music being performed.
