Exhibition of textiles made by Annele Slišāne - 100 Blankets for Latvia

The exhibition will feature textile works, which have been made since August of 2016. The artist has been weaving one dečs, or blanket, per week, each including different materials from nature - mugwort, linden leaves, goldenrod etc. 100 weeks - 100 blankets. Each piece has its own unique story, which tells about an important event in the author's life, about important events which have taken place within society, the sustainable development of the world etc. The exhibition is also a great place to view various types of organic textiles.
