Kronvalda Park in central Riga features a monument to prominent Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. The bronze figure was presented to Riga City by the Moscow House.

The monument was erected in 2009; sculptor - Alexander Tatarinov, now living in the Netherlands. Pushkin was supposedly very interested in Riga, although he never visited.

Pushkin's muse, Anna Kern, wife of Russian General Ermolay Kern, lived in Riga. Many of Pushkin's poems and letters are devoted to this lady. A monument to Anna Kern is located a short distance from Pushkin - outside the Ave Sol Concert Hall.
