The restaurant's logo features the Hindu sacred cow and a global menu. The ayurvedic and other vedic principle-based lunch menu is prepared like a sacrifice to Graha, patroness to each day of the week. Each Graha has its own colour, food, etc., so lunch menu differs from day to day. Price: Ls 3.90.
Sometimes you can find very distinct dishes, for example, sweet-cream soup with walnuts and celery, basmati rice with paneer and vegetable pies, banana/pepper mint salads, and other delicious food. The 'Kamadena' menu is purely vegetarian, without eggs. Also on offer: European continental food along with great selection of Asian food. Every day you can enjoy a different starter for free (a glass of carrot juice, ginger or other cocktail, freshly baked bread with delicious sauces, or other options).
Restaurant expert Viestarts Gailītis recommends you Japanese bean satay with walnuts and pistachio-stuffed Medjool dates with chocolate cream: "I didn't order any dressing like rice or vegetables, yet the portion was big enough to feel satisfied. If three dates seem too little, just eat them and find out how filling they are. I was satisfied with the food, the dessert was of a special surprise". Among the most favourite food there are Malaj kofta with coconut sauce and various samosas (India), crispy vegetables in spicy tempura (Eastern Asia), and Latgalian caps in soup, pasta and risotto (Latvia).
Vegetarianism is everywhere here; you will also read various quotations on the subject in the menu card. However, meat lovers will also find 'Kamadena' dishes very satisfying.
