The hundred-year-old house at Viesturs Garden Park has once seen a Vietnamese restaurant, a pet shop, and now it has a cozy tearoom - Hanzas 28, where you can taste 20 kinds of coffee drinks, various teas and sweets far away from the city bustle without leaving Riga itself.
Viesturs Garden Park is Riga's oldest park. It has seen the first All-Latvian Song Festival, theatre shows, a skating rink and an ice hill. Forgotten for a long time, now the area has Hanzas 28 for pleasant dining and conversation.
The 50-square-metre wide house has a bar, a tearoom, and a reading room. The premises also hosts screening nights several times a week. From the menu, worth trying are the hot Mojito, chocolate dessert with ice-cream and Baileys, and homemade plum wine.
