Private clinic EGV

The clinic EGV opened in 1998 as a private gynaecological practice, but the scope of the services provided by the clinic expanded in the next five years to also include diagnosis and treatment of male infertility. Latvia's only sperm bank was established at the clinic in 2000, which was a major step forward for the treatment of infertility in Latvia. In 2003, the clinic's outpatient service was supplemented with an inpatient unit and an embryology laboratory.

In 2009 the clinic received a certificate confirming that the services it provided met the highest European Union quality standards, and this is the kind of treatment that foreign patients may expect at the clinic. Given that the staff of the clinic have studied and worked in many countries of the world, communication will not be a problem.

At the moment, the list of the clinic's services includes general gynaecological consultations, diagnosis and treatment of male and female infertility: in vitro fertilisation, male infertility treatment, ultrasonography and lectures for parents-to-be. The clinic also offers psychological assistance, consultations by sexual health experts and urologists.
