Travellers of Vidzeme province and visitors to Gauja National Park can find lodgings, a place for a picnic and various recreational activities at the "Canoe Camping" in Līgatne. The campsite is eighty-minute drive from Riga.
"Canoe Camping" is located on the banks of the Gauja - the longest river in Latvia. The campsite offers facilities for camper vans as well as travellers who wish to set up a tent, as well as picnic areas and electricity hook-ups.
"Canoe Camping" organises boating trips down the river in canoes, kayaks as well as rowboats. Or you may just as well opt to take a wooden or inflatable raft equipped with a table, benches and a grill.
