Two new airlines will start flying to Riga this summer: "Skyways" with 13 flights a week to/from Sweden's Goteborg and "El Al/Sundor" that plans to launch flights to/from Tel Aviv.
The airport will also offer flights to six new destinations - national airline "airBaltic" will fly four times a week to Riga from Budapest and Gdansk and one time a week from Bari (Italy) and Tenerife, "Turkish Airlines" - two times a week from Antalya, low-cost airline "Ryanair" - four times a week from Rome Ciampino Airport.
The summer season will also see more flights from Kiev, Lappeenranta, Vilnius, Berlin, Kaliningrad, Bergen and Helsinki. Taking into account a planned increase in the passenger turnover, the airport will build three new boarding sectors by June 1.
