Once a year, in November, Riga transforms into a city of light with numerous buildings and outdoor installations illuminated by modern lighting and video technologies, as well as hundreds of light objects in the city parks and squares. The several-day-long Beaming Riga Festival brings brightness and cheer to the city in the cold and greyness of autumn.
