The prestigious U.S. music magazine "Filter Magazine" has named Positivus Festival one of the most anticipated international festivals this summer - "Positivus" is included in "Filter Magazine's" Internet website TOP5 along with such world-scale festivals as Glastonbury, "T In The Park", "Benicassim" and "Fuji Rock". Also, such acclaimed publications as "The Guardian" and "Time Out London" have included Positivus Festival in their lists of recommended music festivals this year.
"Great location, great beach, great crowd - the perfect combination for my kind of party," "Fatboy Slim" said after his performance at "Positivus".
"Manic Street Preachers" said after their show during the festival: "To the British festival goer, used to the scenic landscapes of Reading and the like, the Positivus AB Festival in Latvia comes as something of a shock. Buried deep in lush, seemingly never ending woods (looking like something out of a Grimm's fairy tale), the site is located on the shores of the Baltic sea a couple of hours drive from the stunning capital city of Riga. The site is beside the undulating sea, festival goers sit getting pissed watching the blazing sunset over Sweden, just out of sight on the other coast."
The Positivus Festival will take place in Salacgrīva already for the fifth time on July 15 and 16 this year, it is the largest music and art festival in the Baltic countries. The festival's site will be open from 12 noon on Friday, July 15. The camping site will be open already from 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 14. Festival tickets can be bought at www.bilesuserviss.lv.
