Riga hosts 1st World Street Gymastics Championship

The best street gymnasts from 14 countries will come together at Grīziņkalns Skatepark on August 27 and 28, competing for the street gymnast world title.

The world championship in Riga brings together the very best street gymnasts from the USA, Russia, Australia, Spain, Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, among them Calisthenic Kingz, Bar Starz, Bar Barians, as well as Ivan Kozar, Bogdan, Aleksander Borisov and the Ghetto workout Russia team from Russia and Ukraine, and other participants.

Street gymnastics includes athleticism, calisthenics (a form of dynamic physical training), parkour (extreme running discipline), hip-hop and sports.

Street gymnastics combine exercises mainly using body weight. The term indicates that the exercises are adopted to an outdoor environment. You can practice street gymnastics in special sports fields, city parks, buildings, bus stops, courtyards, in the forest, by the sea, and elsewhere.

Entrance from 12pm on August 27 and from 10am on August 28. Tickets are available on www.bilesuserviss.lv, one-day ticket price is LVL7, two-day ticket - LVL 10.
