The festival will get under way with a vibrant concert by guest performers, artists from the far and nearby Eastern countries being among them.

The official opening ceremony will be broadcast on a big screen between 4pm and 5pm, followed by an evening opera concert featuring the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra, the Latvian National Opera Chorus and soloists at 6pm. The celebration will round off with a jazz music concert at 8pm and live streaming of the festival's Grand Concert from the Grand Stage at Mežaparks.

The museum will open to the general public on Monday, August 22, presenting several new exhibitions and the renovated premises publicly available for the first time. The first visitors will receive a surprise gift.

The exhibitions "Glasstress Riga - Works from Berengo Studio" and "Oriental Porcelain and the Netherlands" will be on display at the Riga Stock Exchange, celebrating the opening of the new premises.
