Ready, steady, action! Riga Film Studio, one of the oldest and largest film studios in Northern Europe, offers an exclusive opportunity to tour the studio and find out how films are made. Participants in the tours are informed about the history of the film studio, and during the tour they can learn about various fun facts about the film industry and the filmmaking process.

Riga Film Studio is where most Latvian films were shot, including such Latvian classics as "Vella kalpi" (The Devil's Servants), "Teātris" (Theatre), "Mans draugs – nenopietns cilvēks" (My Shallow Friend), "Mirāža" (Mirage), and many more.

The quality of the film studio's pavilions is proved by the fact that several scenes for a "Discovery" film about the sinking of the Titanic were shot at the Riga Film Studio: the ocean scenes for the film were shot in the film studio's pavilion No. 1, the largest such pavilion in Northern Europe. Riga Film Studio also has a number of other top-quality pavilions and sets, part of which are used for shooting various weekly TV shows.

The film studio also has a large number of props of various styles and from various epochs, over 10,000 items altogether, including one of the largest collections of Soviet Union props, for instance, various weapons and arms used in shooting a number of films, such as a "Maxim" machine gun that was used extensively in all armed conflicts of the first half of the 20th century, including World Wars I and II.

The film studio's wardrobe department includes over 40,000 units, some of which the visitors may try on. Taking pictures is allowed!

Tour duration is one to one-and-a-half hours. The tours are offered in Latvian, Russian and English to groups of no less than 10 people.
