Already from 10 p.m., the Town Hall Square (Rātslaukums) will be filled with the sounds of music, rabbits will be going about their business in the Rabbit Town, the Carrot Shop will be selling sklandrausis pies and carrot soup, and two key characters, Carrot and Rabbit, will be urging children to participate in games, competitions, and learn many new things about carrots.
There will also be inflatable castles, celebrations of Latvia-produced vegetables and of healthy and creative lifestyle.
The "Carrot Festival" is a celebration of fantasy - visitors of the "Carrot Stop" workshop will be offered to create something interesting and unusual from Latvian vegetables, whereas children will be offered to test their sculpting skills.
The creator of the most creative and interesting mini-sculpture will receive a prize from the organiser of the event, SIA "Rīgas nami". In the meantime, the "Oranžās Brīvdienas" band will commence the festival's musical programme, which includes performances by several children’s ensembles: "Momo", "Knīpas un Knauķi", "Palāsītes" and "Poppy".
Also, the author of the best "Carrot Story" will receive a ton of carrots as a prize from SIA "Ezerklauliņi" and Radio SWH.
