The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra offers "Othello" - a story about delusion, greed, passion and rightousness, combined with Verdi's breathtaking music - a universally recognized masterpiece.
After Karel Mark Chichon's unforgettable performances of "La Bohème" last season, the maestro continues a series of successful opera stagings with Verdi's "Othello", sung by a brilliant ensemble of international soloists.
Verdi has always been close to the orchestra and its chief conductor's heart - as indicated by the poignant staging of "Aida" in 2008, remembered by many.
