Exhibition "What's New? Museum's Latest Acquisitions" presents 262 most intriguing and valuable acquisitions by the Pauls Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine over the past five years.

The exhibition presents such intriguing and valuable items as a mid-18th century container for transportation of medicinal leeches, non-traditional medical devices from Africa, a collection of 19th century toothbrushes, a 19th century surgical kit identical to that which, according to various legend, Jack the Ripper used to murder victims in London.

There is also a 19th century pillbox from Japan, invaluable books on anatomy with interactive illustrations, and engravings from various epochs.

The museum's collection has been supplemented with 8,055 valuable and unique items over the past five years, most of which were donated to the museum by private individuals.
