This season the Latvian National Opera is presenting a new ballet production "4 Worlds, 4 Elements" lifting the curtain to the enormous and versatile world of emotions, to bright and real colours reflecting the heroes' sufferings, along with the newly-produced operas "War Sum Up" and "Gotterdämmerung"

The four one-act ballet production "4 Worlds. 4 Elements" will feature LNO ballet dancers performing "Tango" with the world-acclaimed music by Latvian contemporary composer Arturs Maskats and choreography by Krzysztof Pastor (Poland). Both artists have previously cooperated for the LNO ballet production "Dangerous Liaisons".

Other acts will introduce two compositions by Cesare Pugni (Italy): "Pas de quatre" (choreography by Jules Perro and Anton Dolin, staged by Inese Dumpe) and Saint-Saëns and Pugni's "Maria's Dream" (choreography by Petr Zuska). In 2002 Zuska (Czezh Republic) cooperated with the LNO in the one-act ballet "Clear Invisible". An interpretation of Vasks' "Erda" will be presented by Hungarian choreographer Youri Vámos, called "the supposedly best choreographic story-teller of the present" in the book "Tanzgeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts in einem Band".
