Day and night are of equal length during this period. The autumnal equinox is connected with harvest festivals, bountiful feasts and loud merry-making.
During the festivities, the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum's main event will be its harvest and crafts fair. The fair will also feature musical performances by various folklore ensembles, bringing joyful atmosphere, and children's exhibition of acorn and potato figurines. This is the final major event at the museum during the summer season.
