The State Choir "Latvia”, one of the most internationally demanded professional choirs, invites you to the International Sacred Music Festival.
Traditionally, the festival commissions new pieces by Latvian composers, invites internationally acknowledged composers as its guests of honour and stages large-scale vocal and symphonic performances.
The International Sacred Music Festival dates back to 1998 when the State Academic Choir "Latvia" presented the first festival with the aim of diversifying Riga cultural life and restoring spirituality.
The festival brought a variety of genres into the festival movement in Latvia with the main emphasis on the performance of large-scale vocal, instrumental and a capella pieces.
