Restaurant Burkāns ("Carrot") is located in the Old Town of Riga, next to the Riga Castle. A great panoramic view to River Daugava opens from the restaurant, and you can enjoy excellent meals of Latvian cuisine prepared from local products while watching the calm flow of the river and silhouettes of the buildings of Pārdaugava.
Menu of the restaurant is prepared so that guests of the restaurant could enjoy and get acquainted with special products of Latvia as much as possible. Every morning the chef of the restaurant goes to the nearby Central Market of Riga – one of the biggest markets in Europe – to buy dainties available there. Then a skilful touch of the chef follows, and guests of the restaurant can enjoy a wonderfully delicious meal.
What about a juicy chicken confit with red cabbage stew and mashed potatoes or pumpkin stew with sea-buckthorn sauce served with spicy cheese pie, for example. Really tasty! We recommend trying them!
