Riga Spring Relay Race 2012

Traditions of the Riga Relay Race can be traced back several decades ago; usually it took place on the Labour Day, 1 May when participants gathered at the Monument of Freedom in the very heart of Riga and the route went along Brīvības Street.

The total length of the race is 1200 m, which is organised in 9 legs with the average length of each leg 130—150 m.

Every year approximately 2000 people participate in the race. This year the relay race is going to take place near the River Daugava at 11. novembra krastmala.
