According to the musicians, the works included in the programme form an arch leading from the Baroque era to modern times. As per tradition, the concert opens with Bach, more specifically, his Chaconne. Like Monteverdi’s beautiful duet from The Coronation of Poppea, it is arranged for four cellos. In part two, the Dream Team will move on to jazz and perform the Swedish composer Sundin’s dedication to the LNSO cellists. In this concert, the Dream Team’s lustre will be enhanced by the presence of frequent collaborator Uģis Krūskops and industrious arranger, Kremerata Baltica percussionist Andrei Pushkarev.
