Artist supreme Jāzeps Pīgoznis left this world in 2014, leaving us his landscapes that depict northern-like colourful boldness and diversity in all times of the year. The Pīgoznis Award was established in 2015 to accent the significance of landscape painting in Latvian contemporary art. Under the arches of splendid St. Peter's Church, here is an exhibit of the ''best of the best" works created by 21st century Latvian artists.
