Partnership Programme

The brand LIVE RīGA was established jointly by Riga Municipal Council, award-winning airline airBaltic, the Association of Latvian Hotels and Restaurants and the Association of Latvian Tourism Agents under the auspices of the Riga Tourism Development Bureau (RTAB). LIVE RīGA aims to communicate an attractive, welcoming and safe capital of Latvia. We invite enterpreneurs and every citizen of Riga who cares about a better future, to join this movement.

LIVE RīGA will help to develop Riga into thehospitality capital of northern Europe with an exciting cultural life and entertainment, a clean environment and high quality services characterised by cooperation between the municipality, enterpreneurs and society at large.

Two cooperation programs have been developed to help reach that goal: for enterprises as partners of RTAB, and for every resident of the city.

The RTAB motto is: “What's good for residents is good for tourists!”

LIVE RīGA a trademark of attitude and opportunity

Partners of the LIVE RīGA initiative will be recognized as trustworthy entrepreneurs by citizens and visitors to Riga alike. Use of the trademark will signify honest, high quality service.

Tourists, residents, entrepreneurs and the municipality will benefit from the success of LIVE RīGA. For guests of Riga it means well-managed infrastructure, a pleasant city environment, information availability, friendly and honest service. For entrepreneurs the project means new possibilities for profit and promotion. The municipality will get increased income in budget, while residents will benefit most of all from the safe and enjoyable environment, new jobs and a bright future.

Cooperation Models

Within the programme framework, RTAB offers investments in specific projects. The Bureau also encourages everyone to look for possibilities of profit by offering interesting activities to tourists and creating new attractions, as well as other qualitative inventions that will make Riga sparkle on a new level. The greater the cooperation, the faster our goals will be accomplished.

The creators of LIVE RīGA believe that citizens of Riga have not had an opportunity to prove themselves as hospitable and kind hosts, welcoming guests and showimg them their city. We keep Riga in our hearts. Therefore LIVE RīGA wants to show that we are proud of our city and we respect it as we respect our guests. Riga must become famous for its clean streets, sparkling parks, honest service and welcoming citizens.
