From December 17 Riga Art Space opens a large scale exhibition of Latvian contemporary art. Outstanding artists and their works which are imposing and challenging will be presented under the title „Is It That He Does Not Seek The Truth, But Does Want To Influence?” The exhibition is also the first attempt in Latvia to show together art, ideas and important channels how real art life operates. Curator of the exhibition is Head of the Exhibitions of Riga Art Space Inga Steimane.

In the second half of May 2011, a group of activists from the Russian city of Kirov will embark on a maxi-scooter tour titled "Jānis Rainis' Way Home". The journey will take 14 days, featuring visits to the Russian cities of Slobodsk, Yaroslavl, Pskov, as well as Latvia's Jelgava, Jurmala and Riga.
