Riga Card

Tourist discount card “Riga Card” entitles the holder to use public transport and visit museums free of charge, as well as price reductions of up to 50% for bus tours and guided tours in Riga’s Old Town, as well as at hotels, restaurants, recreation areas, car rentals and others.

“Riga Card” is a tourist discount card that allows the guests to the city see the city’s landmarks and tourist attractions in a convenient and inexpensive manner. “Riga Card” holders are entitled to free tourist and other services in Riga and in the vicinity of the city, or significant discounts on such services.

“Riga Card” entitles the holder to use Riga public transport free of charge – “Riga Card” may be used for an unlimited number of travels by tram, trolley-bus or “Rīgas Satiksme” buses, including bus No. 22 that runs from the airport to the city centre.

“Riga Card” is a free pass to the city’s largest museums and other cultural facilities. Latvian National Museum of Art, Latvian Museum of National History, Riga Cathedral – these are just a few of the museums that a “Riga Card” holder may visit for free.

Those who buy “Riga Card” also receive a free catalogue of “Riga Card” services and a copy of the “Riga In Your Pocket” guide in English with a map of Riga. The guide offers basic information about Latvia and Riga, info on hotels, restaurants, shopping areas in Riga as well as recreational and cultural events in the city.

“Riga Card” entitles the holder to discounts on more than 30 various services. A guided tour of Riga’s Old Town or a bus tour of Riga costs 20 – 50% less for “Riga Card” holders, the discount on visits to the Botanical Garden and Natural History Museum is 50%. “Riga Card” holders will also be offered discounts of up to 25% at more than 10 hotels and restaurants.

“Riga Card” can be bought for a one, two or three-day period, and the card costs LVL 12, LVL 14 and LVL 18 respectively. For children under 16, “Riga Card” is available for half price.

“Riga Card” was developed in accordance with the principles of the “City Card” system popular in many cities across Europe. “Riga Card” is meant to be used by one person only, the card must have the bearer’s signature on the reverse side. The validity of a “Riga Card” is indicated on the front side of the card. “Riga Card” is not renewed if lost.
