The first ever stage of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) to take place in Latvia, the Tet Rally Latvia, will open in Riga, at the Biķernieki track in Mežciems.
July 18 will be a great day to see the world's best rally drivers in one place and so close to home! Thursday afternoon and evening in Riga will be spent in a rally atmosphere - the opening ceremony is planned in the center of Riga, followed by a drive to the Bikernieki race track, where this historic and legendary track will host the opening stage of the first ever WRC event to be held in Latvia. To take full advantage of the Biķernieki track's complete infrastructure, the stage route has been specifically designed to run alongside the grandstands, providing spectators with both excellent visibility of the race and an enjoyable viewing experience. In addition, a variety of entertainment activities are planned for spectators at the Biķernieki track.
The first ever WRC stage in Latvia will take place from July 18 to 21, 2024, with special stages planned in Riga, Tukums region, Talsi, Talsi region, Kuldīga region, Dienvidkurzeme region, and the rally's host city - Liepāja.
