Skuja Braden stands for the two artists Ingūna Skuja (born 1965) and Melissa D. Braden (born 1968). Both have been active in Latvia and abroad since 1999 and their unique style pushes the boundaries of traditional ceramic and porcelain art.
The content of the work is explosive: Skuja and Braden see themselves as feminists, representatives of the LGBT community and are politically active. The artists carefully follow what is happening in culture and politics and analyze how events affect society and the individual. The exhibition shows more than 200 objects of art from private collections and museum collections.
