The sculptor Igors Vasiļjevs (1940-1997) created a large number of works of art during his lifetime that have not yet been fully analyzed in terms of psychological characterization, material and sculptural composition. The artist's favorite material was wood, especially exotic woods, which is why the exhibition at the St Peter's Church in Riga mainly shows wooden sculptures, which mainly represent portraits of his contemporaries and sacred themes. In addition, a film by H.Frank about Igors Vasiļjevs and family photos from the family archive can be seen in the exhibition.
