The exhibition invites to explore how the historical backgrounds, including laws and "constitutions" since medieval Livonia, both affected and contrasted the modern Latvian Constitution of 1922.
It also will give a detailed insight into the very development process of the Constitution in 1920–1922 by reenacting the discussions of its 34 authors on the most controversial articles, where their different visions of Latvia’s future collided. By using interactive and digital elements, our visitors will be able to understand how Constitutional principles operate in everyday practice until the present day.
