You are young at heart, but have experienced much in life, and now you put quality and intellectual enjoyment above everything else. You still enjoy a nice drink, but you certainly are not prepared to exchange a good night's sleep and breakfast at an excellent restaurant for ten shots of tequila at a loud nightclub. 

In less than 30 minutes, by walking across the Vanšu Bridge, it is possible to discover a whole different world - Ķīpsala. Church spires here are replaced by wooden architecture, and the hustle and bustle of Old Town by peace and quiet. One of the small side streets also holds one of Riga's most hidden museums - the Žanis Lipke Memorial. The contemporary architectural structure has been constructed in honor of Žanis Lipke, who on this spot showed considerable bravery in dangerous times during WWII by hiding Jews. When in Pārdaugava, it is also recommended to visit the Kalnciems Quarter, which is an area of beautifully renovated 19th century wooden buildings. On Saturday's, a farmers market and crafts fair is held here, where it is possible to enjoy a hearty soup, purchase some hemp seed butter or even a vinyl record.

If you want to quench your thirst for art, visit the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Riga Bourse Museum of Art at Dome Square.

but to quench your thirst for a good wine - visit Kolonāde restaurant, which features amazing views of the Freedom Monument and the Latvian National Opera. If you want something more exciting, to directly to 3 pavāru restorāns, which is headed by Latvia's most famous rock-star chef Mārtiņš Sirmais. Ostrich tartar or stewed rock perch, all of this is prepared right in front of the visitors.
