The exhibition provides an insight into the work of the museum's restorers, admiring their professional skills and appreciating the significant achievement in the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage.
The exhibition features more than 70 objects from the museum's collection that have been restored over the past 50 years. Although this is only a very small part of the total number of restored objects, they have been specially chosen to show the restoration of different materials, the complexity of the restoration process and the fascinating work of the restorer. Human handling of museum objects requires both extensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are developed over the course of a restorer's working life.
