The State Academic Choir Latvija and its artistic director, Māris Sirmais, invite audiences to the International Sacred Music Festival —the largest sacred music event of the year in Latvia.
The concert will pay tribute to composer Pēteris Vasks' musical legacy and creativity. The program, which will be performed by the State Academic Choir Latvija, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO), and soprano Ilze Grēvele-Skaraine, features works composed over the past five decades that affirm the power of faith and trust in God - Pater Noster, Viatore, Credo, Prayer to the Mother, Laudate Dominum, as well as a new piece which will be premiered during the concert called Faith.
