New Year celebration in Old Riga
Riga invites everyone to welcome the arrival of 2026 in the squares of the Old Town — singing, dancing, celebrating togetherness, and enjoying festive video projections.
The New Year’s Eve celebration will take place across six locations in Old Riga:
Rātslaukums (Town Hall Square), Līvu Square, Pils Square, the section of Kaļķu Street between Vaļņu Street and Aspazijas Boulevard, the square by the Powder Tower, and the street parallel to the 11 November Embankment between Poļu Gate and Bīskapa Gate.
Throughout the night, popular and well-known DJs from Latvia and beyond will perform, while the façades of nearby buildings will showcase festive video projections created by emerging artists, children, and young people of Riga.
Music, energy and dancing in the Old Town will be brought by Ozols (DJ Sets), DJ Gustavito, DJ Linda Samsonova, DJ Aspirins, DJ All Viss and MC Valters Krauze.
For visitors’ comfort, hot and cold drinks as well as snacks will be available at all event locations.
