Falla’s emotionally charged suites awaken the imagination with Andalusian motifs and a vivid fandango. Liszt’s Spanish Rhapsody, one of the composer’s best-known works, draws its inspiration from traditional Spanish folk music, and its performance demands exceptional virtuosity and elegance. As for the poignant music of fado, it speaks for itself.
