The production HA explores the performativity of laughter as a mechanism of escape. It invites and encourages us to trust our feelings as a legitimate form of perception. HA explores the voice as a means of choreographic expression. HA seeks ways in which the voice can become an extension of the body. HA growls, screams, hisses and speaks while inhaling, allowing language to become communication beyond words.
Refusing theatrical elements, Jana Jacuka's solo focuses on the most essential: the body, the stage, and the invitation to the audience to surrender to the experience.
Choreographer and performer: Jana Jacuka.
Duration: 50 min.
The performance is in English with Latvian translation.
