Leonard Laganovskis' solo exhibition "Clean Cut" will be on view in the Great Hall of the Riga Contemporary Art Space.
Leonards Laganovskis (1955), a classic of Latvian conceptual art, has spent fifty years of his life in the art world, and the experience gained during this time is revealed in the exhibition, which will also feature the painting "The End of the Film" (1989), which has become a classic in Latvian art history. Alongside it, visitors can also view newly created works that reflect and are directly linked to what is happening in the world and in the artist's studio today.
Meanwhile the Small Hall of the Riga Contemporary Art Space will host a solo exhibition by artist Rihards Vītols entitled "Ecotopia". These two exhibitions by both artists are radically different, yet despite their contrasting characters, they are united by the format of a solo exhibition, which offers an opportunity to view the artists' creative work and way of thinking in the long term.
