The festival's anniversary closing concert offers a special program that brings together both prominent Latvian world music artists and internationally renowned guest artists. The event will be enriched not only by concerts and musical collaborations, but also by Sound Link videos from the festival's beginnings.
The first part of the concert will feature Latvian bands that have long been involved in traditional and world music, have participated in the festival and collaborated with foreign artists: Iļģi, Auļi, Julgī Stalte with the program TKP, Laima Jansone and DJ Monstra in the duo ZeMe, Forshpil&Dzelzs vilks, as well as the Pūce Ethnographic Orchestra together with the Georgian ethno-jazz trio The Shin.
In the second part of the evening, Georgian singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, as well as leader of the popular band 33a, Niazs Diasamidze, will take to the stage. He is one of the most prominent representatives of Georgian music, successfully combining elements of traditional Georgian music with influences from contemporary world music, jazz and rock.
