Riga Music Week Festival

Riga will host the music industry conference and festival RIGA MUSIC WEEK (RMW), featuring artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Ireland, France, and Sweden.

For the artist selection, the festival collaborated with experienced music curators, each curating a stage under their own name. Among the curators are Radio SWH, Summer Sound Festival, I Love You Records, Bobe, Sofar Sounds, Still Figure, and Every Little Thing.
The concerts will take place across six stages – Angārs Concert Hall, Angārs Atmosphere Hall, ConTakts White Hall, ConTakts Black Hall, Ezītis Miglā, as well as an outdoor stage that will be open to the public. 

Alongside the city festival, Riga Music Week will host an international music industry conference exploring some of the questions currently changing how we discover and listen to music. Do Spotify, TikTok and other platform algorithms help new music reach audiences, or are they increasingly determining what gets noticed in the first place? European booking agents and festival representatives will discuss how they discover new artists and what it takes for a local act to make it onto an international stage. A dedicated discussion will also examine why the Baltics continue to produce talented artists while still lacking strong companies capable of developing their careers beyond domestic markets in the long term.

Confirmed speakers include SubmitHub Partner Dylan Heneck, ESNS Managing Director Anna van Nunen, First Music Contact CEO Angela Dorgan and Liveurope General Coordinator Fernando Bittencourt Hersan. The conference will also feature a music technology exhibition, where Latvian companies will present their solutions.
