Vanadziņš Trio+, which in fact is a quintet, will dive into the roots of Mississippi Delta blues — the music that later travelled up the river to Chicago and Detroit, gaining an electric sound and the pulse of the city. This musical journey will be enriched with Louisiana barroom joy and a touch of European irony, as this little steamboat from Mississippi now docks in Latvia.
The musicians come from different backgrounds — blues, jazz, rock, and the independent scene — creating a sound that is personal, free from clichés, and full of dark humour, a hint of cynicism, and genuine joy.
