The early music ensemble Concerto Riga—Laura Šarova (baroque violin), Marianna Puriņa (baroque violin), Māra Botmane (baroque cello), and Gertrūda Krauksta (positive organ)—will perform a programme dedicated to Arcangelo Corelli and his Sonate da chiesa, a genre that reveals the clarity of his musical thinking and expressive power.
The programme includes seven church sonatas, offering listeners Corelli’s signature musical language: harmonies rich in nuance, compelling melodies, and virtuoso energy. The title "Do You Hear How It Speaks?" echoes Corelli's own words—"Non udite la parlare?"—highlighting music as a living, speaking language that invites a personal and inspiring dialogue.
