The festival's closing concert features contemporary music by Latvian and foreign composers, both in its original form and in surprising transcriptions and arrangements.
Music by Aigars Raumanis, Matti Kontio, Indre Stakvile and other composers, as well as world premieres of compositions by Jānis Lūsēns and Eļzana Šaripova for kokle, saxophone and percussion instruments will be performed by Trio Trensus. The kokle ensembles Da capo and Rota, as well as kokle player Maija Marija Bakinovska, will perform solo programs.
The concert will conclude with a performance of the extensive composition "Stāsts par saules asarām" (The Story of Sun Tears) by the Latvian composer Rihards Dubra, performed by a kokle orchestra conducted by Anda Eglīte, kokle player Enija Bivālova and a kokle quartet.
