The contemporary music festival deciBels invites listeners to experience springtime vibes of European contemporary music with a diverse concert program. Artists from more than ten countries will participate in the festival, with a repertoire ranging from 20th-century academic music classics to funk and the latest experimental explorations in multimedia. Nine world premieres will be performed at the festival.
The concert will feature the Latvian Radio Choir conducted by Kaspars Putniņš. This time, the choir's sound will be expanded in an unusual format by the presence of electronic music, which we will hear in world premieres by five young European composers. Each blessed with a distinctly individual artistic style, these composers have endured fierce competition and, as the best of the best, have been invited to write compositions for the Latvian Radio Choir with electronic music. Now we will experience the results of this collaboration!
