The textiles of artist Skaidrīte Leimane combine craftsmanship, a sense of nature, and an individual perspective on textile art that has been cultivated over many years. The exhibition features more than 30 works of art by Skaidrīte Leimane, created over a period of 40 years. In them, the textile artist has woven poetic and realistic motifs.
Skaidrīte Leimane is a graduate of the Textile Art Department at the Latvian Academy of Art. The artist's professional career is closely linked to the development of the Latvian textile art scene over several decades.
