The program combines expressive cinematic and pastoral sound, inspired by nature and the variability of the surrounding world.
The evening's program will feature "57th Parallel" — a new project created by Canadian double bassist Andrew Downing together with Latvian musicians. The ensemble's music combines Latvian folk songs with original compositions and improvisation, inspired by traditional Latvian songs and musicians such as Sam Amidon, Bill Frisell and Robin Holcomb.
