BMX: RIGA GRAND PRIX and RIGA CUP 2026

The competition will mark a significant start to the new Olympic qualification cycle on the road to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, and as such, this will be a unique opportunity to see Latvia’s leading BMX riders - Krister Apels, Edgars Langmanis, Noah Laaki, Kārlis Pedraudzis, Mārtiņš Emīls Treimanis, Vineta Pētersone and other BMX riders - all competing together in Latvia.

On Saturday, 12 September, at 11.00, the "RIGA GRAND PRIX 2026" will take place, while on Sunday, 13 September, at 11.00 - the "RIGA CUP 2026" will be held. The competitions will bring together both experienced elite-level athletes and young BMX riders. The athletes will compete for valuable Olympic qualification points, cash prizes and special trophies created specifically for this event by "Ro Studio". Meanwhile, BMX clubs will compete over the two days for the title of the strongest club.

BMX racing is not only a high-level sport but also an exciting event for the whole family. Visitors can look forward to thrilling races, a dynamic atmosphere and the chance to watch world-class BMX riders in action. Admission for spectators is free.

For those unable to attend in person, the races will be broadcast live on TV4, Sportacentrs.com and the BMX RIGA YouTube channel.

The "RIGA GRAND PRIX" and "RIGA CUP 2026" are organised by “BMX RIGA” with the support of Riga City Council and the Ministry of Education and Science.
